Metal marking tools vary from the simplest steel punch, to the most complicated insignia die or automatic numbering head. Designed to provide any depth, bevel, character face, or background, they are adapted for marking on any hardness or contour of metal. Marking with metal tools is by no ways limited to metal surfaces. Wood, leather, plastics, paper, fiber and cloth are successfully marked with metal tools...in some cases by deforming or engraving the material...in others by laying ink. Practically all tools in this department are made to order, involving accurate skills and the knowledge of materials and processes.
